ACT II is actively seeking a Stage Manager and Tech Crew (including a versatile Props Master to also assist with sets) for Little Women.  ACT II encourages interested individuals to complete the form below and submit it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to Greg Wilder at oldwestheel@yahoo.com.

Stage Manager & Tech Crew Application

The final cast and crew list will be posted on ACT’s Facebook Page (and potentially ACT’s website) by Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 8:00PM.
Those individuals must email Tiana Kane to accept or decline their roles at ripley.sunshine@gmail.com by 5:00PM on Friday, October 26, 2018.

On Saturday, October 27, all of the cast, crew members, parents/guardians, directors, and producers will meet at Alamance Lutheran Church at 9:00 am.  A great deal of important information will be discussed, so it is MANDATORY that each cast member and a parent/guardian attend this meeting.  A $50Participation Fee will be collected from each cast member ($40for each additional sibling). This fee helps to cover some of the production’s costs.  Scholarships are available to ensure that no young person is unable to participate. Please speak to one of the producers after the parent meeting to make these arrangements.  Scholarship families will be requested to “Pay what they can” and will be asked to contribute additional volunteer hours to the production.

Rehearsals will predominantly be at Alamance Lutheran Church and will generally occur between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights.  There may be a few nights that extend to 10:00 pm, some Friday night rehearsals that go later, a few limited-cast Wednesday evening rehearsals, a few Saturday morning/afternoon rehearsals and several Sunday afternoon/evening rehearsals.  Some rehearsals with minimal called cast members may be at locations other than Alamance Lutheran.  Not all cast members will be scheduled for each rehearsal but each cast member will be expected to attend all of the rehearsals for which he or she are scheduled.

Tech week begins on Sunday, January 13, 2019 with rehearsals each day/night at the Paramount Theater.  Tech Week rehearsals may extend to 10:30 pm at the latest.  All cast & crew MUSTbe present this week with no exceptions!

Regular performances will be at the Paramount at 7:00 pm on January 18, 19, 25, & 26, 2019 and 2:00 pm on January 19, 20, 26, & 27, 2019.  Two daytime “School Shows” will occur on Thursday, January 24, 2019 and are scheduled for 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.

All cast and tech crew members must be present for all regular performances and the “School Shows”.  The Alamance-Burlington School System as well as other schools have previously recognized School Show performance days as excused absences for cast and crew members.

Auditionees should be aware that participation in other productions, other than ACT’s production of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man, that overlap and create conflicts with rehearsals for Little Womenmay be considered in casting decisions.

For any additional information, please contact Tiana Kane at ripley.sunshine@gmail.com.
