The Alamance Children's Theatre Inc. is a private, non-profit community based organization. ACT gives young people in Alamance County an introduction to the many aspects of drama and theatrical production.
The mission of Alamance Children's Theatre is To create quality theatrical opportunities for children and teens in our community both as active participants in performance and production, and as engaged audience members. Alamance Children's Theatre is a non-profit member group of the Alamance County Arts Council.
Youth ages 8 - 18 participate in all phases of theatrical production. They work as cast members, technicians, ushers, and board members. ACT presents three full-scale plays a year and offers theater workshops twice a year, usually in January and August.
ACT is partially supported by the Alamance County Arts Council with funds from the Grassroots program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency.
All proceeds from ACT productions support the resources and materials needed to produce high quality children's theater.
