Audition Call for Alamance Children’s Theatre Production of
Shrek The Musical!
Assistant Directed by Maddie Almers
Music Direction by Meredith Gornto
Directed by Wayne Leonard
Choreography by Mikaila Adams
A huge thank you to the 87 auditionees that came out for Shrek auditions. We had a great turnout with so many incredible and talented kids. Casting was INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT with this one for our Directorial Team; so much that they were at the Church deliberating until after 1AM determining the Cast List!!! Unfortunately, we could not cast everyone. Remember, there are so many things that go into casting besides talent – age, voice, tone and volume, potential chemistry with the rest of the cast, you name it, and it probably makes a difference to a director. Please continue to audition for future shows!
For those who were cast as actors or production members, you must email Shrekact2025@gmail.com by 12pm on Saturday, January 11th to accept or decline your role. When you accept your role, please make sure you provide an email address that would be best for us to provide you/your parent with the welcome links that will provide you access to the Welcome Letter, necessary forms that require adult and/or performer signatures.
For those auditionees that meet requirements for Stage Manager, (9th Grade or Older; 2 shows or more of experience with ACT) and were not cast, we still have a need for a Stage Manager! If you are interested, please email the Shrekact2025@gmail.com email with a subject of “(Your Name) Stage Manager Interest” and provide your info so we may contact you!
There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting on Sunday, January 12th at 4pm at Alamance Lutheran and all cast, tech, and their parent or guardian should be in attendance.
Please Welcome to Duloc the Following:
