2021-22 Season
Alamance Children’s Theatre is excited to announce our 2020-2021 season!
Since our final production of the 2019-2020 season was closed due to the pandemic, ACT has had to shuffle plans, cancel an entire season, and do theatre in ways we have never worked before. However, COVID-19 was not the only thing that shook theatre, including ACT. In the wake of George Floyd and everything that occurred following his death, ACT was asked to reflect of our own practices and culture, and recognize our shortcomings. In the fall of 2020, the ACT Board of Directors created a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee to ensure that ACT creates a space to have difficult conversations and to evaluate and create systems that put ideas into action. This past year, ACT and the DEI Committee has focused on the feedback received from ACT alumni and participants, evaluating current systems and policies, and creating ways to keep ACT accountable. As we begin this new season, ACT looks forward to implementing new ideas and continuing to learn, brainstorm, and create a culture of inclusion for anyone aged 8-18 that dreams of being a part of the theatre.
